The Operations team continues to grow and aims to strengthen the connection of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain and Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) across Collins Aerospace. In this dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.
This is a seven month Co-op beginning January 2025 - August 2025 and the work will be completed at the Santa Isabel site in Puerto Rico. Candidate must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.
What You Will Do
Support the set up & operation of a variety of manufacturing & test equipment
Support Testing a variety of electromechanical units using prescribed test procedures following print requirements
Support configuration and or verification of regular test equipment to fit special tests
Interpret and record test results
Read and interpret assembly and test instructions, engineering prints, and schematics
Utilize computer systems (e.g. work instructions, labor charging, prints, and standards)
Process material requisitions in accordance with established procedures
Support Evaluation, disposition, and implementation of corrective actions following non-conforming material procedures
Promote mistake proofing solutions
Recognize and take steps to resolve work area issues
Maintain accurate records of all work performed
Qualifications You Must Have
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Good communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
Good reading, writing & math skills
Good computer skills (MS Office; Word and Outlook) Daily use of computers.
Knowledge of office software apps
Understand theory of electronic circuitry & electrical components
Ability to read and interpret assembly / test instructions, engineering standards, engineering prints, and schematics
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Use diagnostic and hand tools
Effectively communicate & interact with others at all levels
Understand and operate electronic test equipment
Handle multiple tasks at the same time
Fully bilingual speaking and writing in English
Java, PHP, MATLAB Programming capability preferred.
CAD Design Capability (NX, Solid Works preferable)
3 years + of studies conductive to BS in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Mechanical or Computer
