Role Summary:

Perform all tasks related to the mounting and dimounting of pumping equipment in the hydraulic testing laboratory of Santa Clara facilities. Also provide support during the tests to the laboratory test engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Mounting and dismounting of mechanical pumps in the test laboratory.

  • Mounting piping of mechanical pumps for testing.

  • Make electrical connections to motors

  • Moving equipment weighing from 200 kgs up to 20 tons

  • Use and handling of hand tools (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic)

  • Handling of metric system / English measurement system

  • Interpretation of general arrangement drawings and mechanical component drawings

Requirements:

  • Experience/knowledge in mounting of mechanical equipment (piping or lathe) or in lathe maintenance

  • Equipment leveling

  • Knowledge and use of alignment instruments (caliper, dial indicator)

  • English measuring system

  • Interpretation of mechanical drawings

  • Use and handling of cranes / knowledge of hoisting equipment

  • Welding and oxy-fuel knowledge

  • Availability to rotate shifts and work overtime.
