Nvidia SLT Socket Repair Technician in Santa Clara, California

NVIDIA is looking for a dedicated SLT Socket Repair Technician to join our world-class System Level Test operations team. This exceptional opportunity allows you to support our SLT Test operations by inspecting and repairing SLT sockets, ensuring flawless performance, and contributing to innovative technology advancements. You will also play a crucial role in preparing various reports and status updates, helping to drive our ambitious goals forward.

What you’ll be doing:

  • The SLT socket technician will is responsible for inspecting SLT sockets for damage, worn out components or maintenance requirements.

  • SLT socket repair technician uses various tools, this includes microscopes, various small hand tools and multimeters. Demonstrated Proficiency with the use of these tools is a requirement

  • Specific functions include using a microscope for extended periods to check for damaged pins, dirt or debris embedded in the socket and for damaged or broken components.

  • Collaboration with members of the SLT team and with vendors to ensure issues and quality concerns are addressed. This includes engineers, suppliers, NPI team and coworkers

  • Lead socket design and data collection projects with external socket vendors and internal engineering teams to improve hardware performance and product yield.

  • Prepare daily reports on shift outputs, test completions and status. This includes daily pass down reports with critical information and status to the next shift.

  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.

  • This position will be working with the System Level Test lab located at the Santa Clara Nvidia campus.

What we need to see:

  • Attention to detail and the ability to do fine and intricate work is a key requirement for this position!

  • Be a team leader who can work with cross function teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Ability to use inspection tools such as microscopes for extend periods.

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Electronics.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing Test; chip testing experience is a plus.

  • Proficient in Excel and Word is a requirement.

  • Experience with Windchill (PDP) / Agile and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Engineering and NPI Prototype testing.

The base salary range is 48,000 USD - 80,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
