The UX Engineering group at ServiceNow is growing rapidly and we are looking for a talented and experienced engineer to join a team creating the next generation of experiences building services, frameworks, and tools. As a full-stack software engineer, you will be helping to drive a metadata-based web UI framework to enable next-gen experience and runtime capabilities on the NOW platform for internal and external customers.

You will join a team of full-stack software engineers responsible for core features of UX Framework and Runtime at ServiceNow. The team is responsible for building and supporting the core framework (metadata modeling, general screen data modeling/runtime caching, compositional UI with reusable components, etc). and general capabilities like rendering, routing, and data binding. This team primarily partners with the ServiceNow product team, core platform teams, UX component teams, and application (product) business unit teams.

  • Developing across the full stack of Web technologies – Persistence, Services, Platform, Performances, and with a focus on great experiences

  • Working in a Scrum-based Agile development process that is light on documentation and meetings and heavy on coding.

  • Designing and implementing software that is simple, intuitive, and easy to use with a platform development mindset to solve real-world problems

  • Translating business requirements and mock-ups into fully functional features by working closely with product owners and creative designers

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 3+ years’ experience with Java-based web applications and cloud-based applications

  • Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization

  • Expertise with HTML technologies including HTML5, CSS3 and AJAX / Web Services

  • Experience with any of the modern UI frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue

  • Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies quickly.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams of engineering/PM/Design.

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $137,000 - $233,000, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
