About the Role:

As a CBRE Facilities Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for all Facilities' electrical infrastructure systems. You will plan, design, develop, analyze, implement, and maintain electrical infrastructure systems. You will provide design and engineering support for power, energy, and infrastructure projects, and oversee reliability and maintenance of engineering programs for our facilities.

This job is part of the Facilities Engineering division. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

This role is full-time and requires you to be onsite.

What You'll Do:

o Oversee electrical-focused projects and design tasks on large, electrical, and non-electrical projects. This includes industrial facility power distribution, motor control and coordination, and lightning, grounding, and lightning protection.

o Prepare electrical designs and perform calculations in support of water, environmental, advanced manufacturing, and energy brands., Incorporate all manufacturing technical requirements and specifications.

o Identify opportunities for energy conservation, recommend improvements, and implement sustainable practices aligned with industry standards.

o Develop and maintain emergency response plans related to electrical systems and ensure back up power sources (UPS, ATS and generators) are operational and tested regularly.

o Stay informed about electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards to ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and national guidelines.

o Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities and prepare reports on system performance, repairs, and upgrades. Oversee and Review power system studies on industrial and utility systems, including grounding, lightning protection, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash hazard analysis.

Work closely with other facilities professionals including HVAC technicians, plumbers and building managers and provide technical support during building renovations and upgrades.

Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of their own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

o Promote electrical safety awareness among building occupants and train staff on safe electrical practices and emergency procedures. Recommend safety improvements and adhere to all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company.

o Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

o Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.

o Drive to customer/client sites in Northern Bay area as needed. This person will mostly be working at the Santa Clara site, however, may need to drive to other locations as needed.

What You'll Need:

o Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 10+ years of related experience as an

Electrical Engineer

o Previous experience in Critical Facilities preferred

o Knowledge of electrical codes, NFPA standards and building regulations

o Proficiency in AUTOCAD, Bluebeam, REVIT and other related software

o Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

o Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

o Valid Driver's license required

o Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

o Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

o In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel,

o Outlook, etc.

o Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset

o Solid written and oral communication skills

*California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training and experience. The salary range is $175k-$200K. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
