We are looking for a creative and independent Debug System Engineer to help drive efforts in our datacenter product engineering team. We're looking to grow our company and build our teams with the smartest people in the world. Join us at the forefront of technological advancement. We need a creative individual who will help transfer GPU Server products from design engineering to mass production. Because of the growing complexity of our GPU servers, we need your server and board design experience to understand the intricate workings of the products and how to ensure their quality. You will be exposed to various aspects of building, testing, and validating NVIDIA datacenter products: from GPUs to full system and/or rack-level testing. In addition, your responsibilities will include working with overseas manufacturing teams to increase yields, test coverage and capacity, and to reduce production costs. What you’ll be doing:

As a member of the product engineering team, you will be mainly responsible for debugging Datacenter DGX and HGX products to root cause factory build and field return issues.

  • Perform failure analysis (FA) on GPU baseboards and servers at rack, system, and/or component level

  • Perform high speed bus signal integrity debug/characterization

  • Design experiments and collect/analyze data for FA

  • Engage on Design for Test, Manufacturing (DFx) enabling efforts.

  • Working with the team to deliver products according to schedule

  • Provide root cause and corrective action in a timely manner

  • Write clear and complete reports detailing steps taken and findings

  • Communicate with industry vendors and suppliers as well as internal / external engineers, factory personnel and sales/marketing in the US and overseas

What we need to see:

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 12+ years working experience in a related field

  • Hold excellent failure analysis or debug experience on motherboards/graphic cards/servers/PCs

  • Board design, signal integrity experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge in enabling DFx requirements

  • Solid understanding and strong skills in Hardware/Software/Component/Process/Test/Validation

  • Strong negotiation, organization, and time management skills

  • Familiar with advanced characterization equipment, including oscilloscope, analyzers, etc.

  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The base salary range is 188,000 USD - 356,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
