Description

Robotics & Digital Solutions, part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies is currently recruiting for a Manager, Strategic Insights - RAD. This role will be based in Santa Clara, CA , under a hybrid schedule.

The MedTech Surgery organization was recently established to combine Ethicon’s market-leading surgical portfolio with the Robotics & Digital Solutions portfolio. The MedTech Surgical organization is comprised of: Wound Closure & Healing and Biosurgery, Endo Mechanical and Energy, OTTAVA (Surgical Robotics), MONARCH (Flexible Robotics), and MedTech Digital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep analysis of the market and deliver market models for various projects within the portfolio.

  • Conduct deep analyses to evaluate competitive landscape, opportunities, and risks in Robotics and Digital Solutions. Understands the marketplace and competitor dynamics and provides expertise on data interpretation and data visualization through Tableau.

  • Attend key tradeshows and conferences to capture industry trends, competitive product landscape and clinical developments. Report and socialize key findings with the teams, translating results into clear, concise presentations and written reports.

  • Collaborate with team members and collaborators in defining the problems, generating metrics, shaping the analyses, and generating synthesizing insights for the business, as well as insights reporting and socialization

  • Maintain revenue and trial market share databases, involving data mining, scrubbing, and analysis of external sources

  • Applies knowledge of standard research and analytic methods to distill information into clear, concise communication.

  • Run cross-functional feedback and alignment meetings, and communicate key ideas, decisions, issues and action items

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree within life sciences, business, marketing, or related field, is required. Advanced degree is preferred.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Expertise in Tableau or other data visualization tools

  • Advanced Excel (technical interview may be given) and proficiency with office systems (Word, Power Point).

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a combination of Sales, Marketing, or Data Science roles with a proven track record of achieving business results.

  • At least 5 years of marketing, market research, or competitive intelligence in the life sciences industry

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with experience using data analysis tools and techniques

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively present insights and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams

  • Performance orientated, ability to adapt to change and a solution focused approach

  • Ability to have cross-functional communication with internal partners.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with med tech, surgical, robotics, and/or capital business.

  • Strong secondary research and analytics experience

  • Experience building market and/or forecasting model

  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate dynamic project scopes

Other:

  • This role will be based out of Santa Clara CA and may require up to 25% domestic/ international travel

  • The anticipated base salary range for this role is $113,000-$195,730
