Sonatech, LLC Materials Control Coordinator in Santa Barbara, California

We are seeking a detail-oriented Materials Control Coordinator to join Sonatech, LLC in Santa Barbara California.

Position Summary: The Materials Control Coordinator is responsible for performing a combination of manual and clerical duties. Must be able to adequately pack product, prepare documents and process shipments in a timely manner. This position is responsible for receiving and recording all incoming products and materials including processing packing slips, maintaining inventory of supplies, and pulling kits for Production Control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Receive and process incoming materials from Inspection and Receiving departments.

Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.

Record the receipt of all shipments by company requirements and use the companys computerized data entry and tracking system to ensure tracking of items.

Place materials in appropriate stockroom locations and deliver or route materials to departments.

Pull kits according to work orders received from the Production Planning Department and distribute accordingly.

Accurately enter data and perform inventory transactions with the ERP system with a high level of detail.

Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.

Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.

Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.

Prepare, pack, seal, and label materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.

Provide manufacturing support in boxing and palletizing of finished products.

Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.

Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.

Confer with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damage, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.

Comply with all company, environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Able to handle various size parts (parts that require tweezers to handle, up to parts weighing 50 pounds).

Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack.

Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.

Data entry skills with great attention to detail.
