Iteris is seeking a Sr. GL Accountantwho will be an integral part of the accounting team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and month-end close process, including journal entries, general account reconciliations, flux analysis, payroll and accruals.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, accruals, expense allocations and account reconciliations

  • Partner with legal, finance, HR and other cross-functional teams on accruals and other accounting-related matters

  • Prepare and review month-end flux analysis

  • Process fixed assets, payroll, prepaid expense transactions in Oracle

  • Create and review Oracle accounting processes on a weekly basis

  • Responsible for the quality, accuracy, timeliness and documentation of account reconciliations

  • Assist with auditor requests related to quarterly reviews, annual financial statement, and overhead audits

  • Improve, develop and implement documentation and processes related to areas of responsibility

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis and other special projects

    What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field

  • Over four (4) years of accounting experience

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP

  • Public accounting and/or public traded company accounting experience preferred

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills

  • Experience with ERP systems, i.e., Oracle, SAP, etc.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels

  • Able to work independently and take initiative

  • Able to adapt to changing priorities

  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines

  • Detail-oriented

  • A team player

    Iteris anticipates paying between $100,000 and $110,000 for this role. However, actual pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
