Job Description:

One FHIR and JAVA skilled contractor developer is needed to assist with the implementation of the CMS defined Healthcare Interoperability project. The contractor will work with the development team and the business team in the design, development, and implementation of FHIR-based API solutions to meet the CMS requirements.

Technical and Professional Requirements:

  • Hands on experience with PostgreSQL and in programming languages such as Java, Spring boot, Javascript
  • Strong understanding of HL7 FHIR 4.0.1 standard and FHIR implementation guides like DaVinci CARIN, US Core etc.
  • Experience performing data mapping of Source data sets to FHIR resources
  • At least 6 months of experience in HL7 FHIR implementation
  • Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development
  • Hand on experience using OAuth
  • Deep understanding of AWS cloud services and AWS DevOps
  • Experience securing API's

Responsibilities:

  • Extensive familiarity with the FHIR specification & the FHIR infrastructure. HL7 FHIR
  • Competence: Exhibit an in-depth understanding of HL7 FHIR standards and their application to the exchange of healthcare data
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define specifications for data exchange
  • Create conceptual and detailed architecture for APIs using FHIR resources
  • Design, develop, and implement HL7 FHIR interfaces and solutions
  • Test and troubleshoot HL7 FHIR implementations to ensure reliability and compatibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the web application with FHIR API endpoints and other data sources in a seamless manner
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing HL7 FHIR interfaces
  • Stay current on industry standards and best practices for healthcare data exchange
  • Document designs, implementations, and configurations for future reference
