Export Customer Service Representative needed for a Sandy, UT employer.
*Job Summary: *
The Export/Customer Service Representative will oversee all Export shipment requirements and manage any day-to-day changes that may occur.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Responsible for all direct export shipment communication between Tata and customers, carriers, and vendors pertaining to delays, shipping instructions, status inquiries, billing discrepancies, etc. Escalates to Management as appropriate.
· Prepare/coordinate the necessary documentation for the execution of all ocean export activities such as Proforma Invoices, Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists and Letter of Credits.
· Communicate/correspond with overseas agents and clients (customers) in a timely manner to include vessel nomination information, shipment status, and other information as required.
· Receives orders from customers and enters them in the Tata ERP System (SAP).
· Monitors and ensures accuracy and timeliness of order processing and shipping documentation.
· Identifies opportunities for improvement in quality-of-service levels and efficiency, based on feedback from team members, customers, and vendors
· Reports on changes in export volumes shipped each month to the Customer Service Manager.
· Resolves any accounts payable and receivable issues within area of responsibility and escalates as appropriate with the Sales Representative.
· Resolves any paperwork changes that need to be made.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required with a minimum 1-3 years' experience in Ocean Exports. Must have knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
· 3 -5 years' experience in a similar position/freight forwarding/logistics preferred. Additional languages are a plus.
Wage and schedule will be arranged with employer.
