Sandusky Community Schools is seeking a qualified candidate for a custodian position. This position will require the availability of flexible hours as needed and all training is provided. 

Duties:

• General Cleaning
• Mopping and complete floor care
• Cleaning windows
• Replacing light bulbs
• Shoveling snow
• Minor repairs
• Moving equipment and materials within and between school buildings
• Communicate problems through the appropriate chain of command
• Follow all board policies and all federal, state, and local Safety/code requirements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Able to pass criminal background check with fingerprinting, and drug/alcohol testing per state requirements and district policies
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Knowledge of safe work habits and practices
• Able to determine what is needed to complete assigned tasks, skillfully and efficiently
• Available for any work assignment as deemed necessary to resolve problems within the district, including working overtime, weekends, or holidays
• Able to work in a team to resolve problems in a manner that is productive and beneficial to the district, while building relationships with co-workers and other district staff
• Must be responsive, courteous, helpful, and support the overall goals of the district
