Sales/Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Sales Associate to join our team! As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring that Carter Country operations run smoothly. Your main responsibilities will include assisting customers in finding and purchasing products, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and processing transactions accurately. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

The ideal candidate will understand the unique culture of Carter Country and will become a part of a team of professionals who serve a community of farmers, ranchers, gardeners, and pet lovers. The customers will look to this person for guidance in selecting products that will meet their needs in

* Animal health and nutrition as well as supplies for farm animals and pets, including toys and tack.

* Gardening tools and fertilizer, as well as seeds and weed control and pest aversion.

* Hardware all the nuts and bolts * Fencing for yards or pastures Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases.

  • Restocking shelves and ensuring that products are neatly organized.

  • Providing information about products, promotions, and store policies to

    customers. Make tailored recommendations based on customer needs

  • Handling customer complaints and resolving issues in a professional

    manner.

  • Keeping the store clean and presentable at all times. Examine the sales floor

    to ensure merchandise is well-stocked, well-maintained and properly rotated

{=html} <!-- --> - accepting payments from customers at a register, stocking shelves and answering customer questions about products in the store.

  • Process business transactions, handle cash, process debit/credit cards and perform returns or exchanges.

  • Unload shipments from delivery trucks, price items and receive the items into the computer system.

  • Maintain knowledge of inventory through Cycle counting

  • Maintain awareness of the pricing of each item to insure that the prescribed

    profit margin is maintained.

  • Continually arrange new merchandise on shelves with appropriate pricing.

  • Eventually acquire the ability to place weekly orders, based on previous

    sales and upcoming projections.

    Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proven work experience as a Retail Clerk or similar role and ability to work

    effectively in a team.

  • Ability to perform basic math, writing and reading tasks without supervision

  • Flexibility to work during weekends and holidays as needed

  • Ability to comfortably stand for extended periods of time
