D.R. Horton, Inc.is currently looking for a*Purchasing Auditor / Contracts Administrator*in the Purchasing Department. The Purchasing Auditor oversees and audits all purchasing documents to ensure using the correct established and internal control processes. The annual compensation for this role is $80,000 - $95,000, including a discretionary bonus structure, commensurate with experience. This position is on site Monday through Friday, in the San Ramon office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
- Create and maintain Bid Contracts (BC’s), verify appropriate approvals
- Create and maintain Budget only Contracts (BU’s), confirm approvals
- Proof and post Lot Starts
- Void and re-release PO’s for vendor and price changes
- Delete and post options daily
- Verify the request and create all change order requests (extra PO’s)
- Audit E-line on cover sheets for rebates
- Audit and verify bid spreads
- Audit vendor back up pricing to contract guidelines
- Audit price request forms
- Audit and apply model discounts
- Perform checklists and complete reports that aid in controlling the efficient management of all Purchasing processes
- Communicate with counterparts and operations positions to ensure the efficient management of Purchasing documents and processes
- Complete audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings
- Periodically review contracts, processes, and history with vendors to ensure accuracy, compliance with the terms stipulated in the contract to maintain and improve efficiency
- Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Education and/or Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Four to six years of related experience and/or training
- Must be able to travel to Las Vegas on a minimum quarterly basis
- Provide meticulous attention to detail
- Possess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently to balance competing deadlines
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
- JD Edwards experience a plus
- Knowledge in Budgeting and Financial Management preferred
