Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of Autodesk

  • Be an integral part in the worldwide close process through preparing, analyzing and reviewing assigned general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries, and other analysis to support the consolidated financial statements

  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP for various accounting areas (for example, accruals, royalties, compensation and capitalization of software development costs)

  • Prepare and review accounting entries as appropriate. Work closely with business partners and accounting teams worldwide to understand changes in the business and statutory requirements which impact US GAAP accounting areas

  • Prepare flux analyses and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and schedules for management and external auditors as appropriate

  • Prepare analysis of non-departmental costs for FP&A forecasts. Review and prepare various cost allocations by functions

  • Analyze technical accounting issues under US GAAP and prepare accounting memos addressing technical issues as required

  • Analyze technical accounting issues and provide guidance to the Finance community, as required

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize the financial close process

  • These projects include information systems improvements as well as creating efficiencies with manual processes. Government surveys

  • Additional ad hoc and special projects as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree (Accounting, Finance or related field)

  • You have 1 year experience in the job offered or in an accounting/auditing-related occupation

  • You have 1 year experience in each of the following skills:

  • Apply relevant accounting principles under US GAAP to determine the correct accounting treatments for various accounting topics and areas

  • Utilize advanced excel tools (Pivot tables, Vlookups, Index, etc.) to process and analyze data to identify, stratify, simulate, and evaluate various accounting treatments and options

  • Public accounting experience

  • Gain thorough knowledge of effective accounting control environments and assessed the design and implementation of clients internal controls

  • Planning, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to a non-technical audience

  • Accounting work at multi-national public companies

  • Work closely with clients accounting department to provide accounting treatment guidance and ensure accounting standards are properly followed
