Position Description
The Department of World Languages and Literatures at Texas State University invites applications for atenure-track Assistant Professor position in Spanishwith a focus on translation and/or professional Spanish.
Applicants should have a strong commitment to teaching, scholarly research, and collegial service.
Teaching at the Round Rock campus may be required on a case-by-case basis.
This position is subject to the availability of funds.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D in Spanish, Spanish Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, or a comparable field in hand by August 1st 2025
Native or near-native command of Spanish and English,
Demonstrated teaching experience in Spanish at the university level.
Applicants should have a strong commitment to teaching, scholarly research, and collegial service.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with translation, linguistics, applied linguistics, Digital Humanities, UX, and / or AI.
