Pay Rate: $17.40 to $20.00 per hour

The Job:

FCI is in search for Assemblers to join our Industrial, Aerospace or Nuclear production. This position will be responsible for electro-mechanical assemblies of flow, switches, monitors, and meters. This role requires a keen eye for detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow complex work instructions and procedures.

• A detail-oriented Assembler with the ability to read and interpret drawings into produced assemblies.

  What You’ll Do: 

• Follow written and verbal instructions from requests using blueprints or order notes.

• Cut and trim wires to desired length for soldering electronic sensors, connectors or soldering cups.

• Mix appropriate potting compounds in accordance with specifications.

• Perform insulation resistance testing, bonding testing, and hi-pot/dielectric testing.

• Report any completed assemblies through document routing for approval.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality standards.

  What You’ll Need:

• 0-2 years of work experience in electro-mechanical assembly environment.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

• Ability to solder small wire and connector joints.

• Experience with multi-meters and testing knowledge of dielectric, insulation resistance and bonding tests are a plus.  

• Able to follow and interpret drawings for operation instructions and wiring diagrams.

  Physical/Travel Requirements

This position requires sitting 70-80% of the time. Minimal walking, bending, carrying of trays up to 20-25% of the time. Work may be performed while looking through a fixed magnifying lamp. Manual dexterity is required for grasping tools such as soldering iron, screwdrivers, wire cutters, wire strippers, tweezers, and pliers. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
