What is the job about?

The Product Engineer gives support to the customer that requires a new variant that could be offered by the plant, monitoring, maintaining, and controlling the specification of the standard products and new variants. You will be responsible for participating and ensuring the quality of the VPC’s in the process and continued communication with Product Owners. This position reports to the APU Manager and operates on-site from our facility in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Your main responsibilities:

• Control the documents and product specifications.

• Coordinate implementation of changes to existing products.

• Support production lines with issues related to the product as well as the implementation of new products.

• Assessment of discrepancies in product specifications.

• Support new product approvals introduction/validation initiatives.

• SCC introduction to local control instructions.

• Support to PFMEA management system.

• Creation and update of drawings of products in CATIA (CI).

• Define / Maintain the electrical and mechanical specifications of the products created as well as the product variants in plant (FPV).

• Point of contact with the Lead Product Technical Manager (PTM) and the global product specialists (APPS, PM, etc.).

• Guide efforts aimed at minimizing issues observed during field operations.

• Maintain and propose parameters in the Tester to ensure the product performance.

• Define the structure of the documentation of variants of the product.

• Lead / participate in projects related to the client's claims.

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

• Title of Mechanic Engineer, Electrician, Electronic, Mechatronic, or related.

• 4 years of experience as an Industry Engineer.

• Interpretation of drawings and geometric tolerances.

• AutoCAD Software, CATIA, MS Office, Internet, Lotus Notes, MS Project, (SAP R3 is beneficial).

• Knowledge of the product (Electric Motors, Water Pumps, etc.).

• Knowledge about the principles of Lean Manufacturing.

• Mathematical and numerical skills

• Advanced English.

• Managing ambiguity.

• Pleasing to work on floor.

• Availability to travel (have passport and American visa).
