Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in San Luis Obispo, California. In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of handling various accounting tasks, including but not limited to reconciling bank accounts, preparing journal entries, reviewing Accounts Payable (AP), and conducting fixed asset reconciliations. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle and reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis

• Prepare and review journal entries as part of the month-end process

• Review Accounts Payable (AP) and participate in the payment process

• Conduct fixed asset reconciliations

• Conduct reconciliations of health insurance accounts

• Assist in payroll processing tasks

• Utilize Sage Accounting Software for various accounting tasks

• Leverage Excel for various tasks requiring data management and analysis

• Handle a small portion of Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

• Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software is a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
