We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as an Associate Registrar. Responsible for the development, planning, management, implementation and evaluation of student related documents, procedures, and registrar functions. The Associate Registrar ensures that registrar operations and processes are performed accurately, efficiently, according to schedule. This in concurrence with AGMU policies, federal and state laws, accrediting agencies, and FERPA guidelines.AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAttend Ensures the integrity and security of all student’s academic records in compliance with FERPA and other federal institutional guidelines.Generates and processes internal, official and student transcripts copies.Performs changes related to students appealing process, of attendance indicators and grades in the Student Information System. Ensures all student service request forms and staff service request forms are processed on time. Assists in the implementation of the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) process and ensures SAP policy follows Title IV program requirements. Also prepares statistical reports of the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) outcome.Prepares preliminary and final graduation evaluations. Interprets and implements policies and procedures concerning foreign credential evaluations. Serves as the primary campus official ensuring compliance with Veterans Affairs (VA) policies and Student & Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certifying regulations.Serves as the Certifying School Official SEVP, therefore responsible for certifying official student records and transcripts to issue I-20 visas following Department of Homeland Security guidelines.Advises and supports faculty and staff on policies and procedures related to the Office of the Registrar, including the student information system. Prepares and submits reports as needed to Campus Director, Student Affairs Director, and University Leadership. Support graduation efforts including degree conferment, generating related documentation, ordering materials, and the ceremony planning.Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the academic evaluation modules and course catalog in the system. Ensures the compliance with the processes of the digitization of files, including the quality control procedures.Ensure that the documentation needed to complete the R2TIV process is provided on time to financial aid.Responsible for the certification process regarding student enrollment and graduated status, required by federal (NSLDS) and state agencies; both for personal management of the student record and in compliance with the judicial authorities. Responsible for the scheduling course process and the classroom distribution for AGMU campuses in accordance with the established academic rules and procedures.Assist the registrar in reviewing and updating the policies of the registrar’s office.Supervise the census and grade registration process (including mid-term and final grades).REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in business administration or related area from an accredited university (master’s preferred)Five (5) years of experience in student services, at least three of which should be in a university setting. Ability to express himself/herself effectively, verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English.Interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and administrators.Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.Detail oriented and well organized.Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to use email or other alternative methods of communication.Ability to maintain effective working relationships with teaching, administrative and student staff.Knowledge of management aspects.Ability to synthesize, analyze reports, and problem solve.Computer competency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. High degree of discretion and reliability in the performance of their duties.Available to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends and travel, as requested.ABOUT AGM UNIVERSITYAna G.
