Intel Enterprise Product Owner in San José, Costa Rica

Job Description

The Enterprise Architecture Services team provides the processes and tools required to design and develop Enterprise Architecture solutions in support of Intel's growth. We are looking for a highly motivated Product owner to own Software asset management of multiple SW products at Intel, with an emphasis on SW lifecycle management, SW Technical debt management and SW license management. The SW asset mgmt. team works closely with many stakeholders across Intel to optimize SW products spends and reduce technical debt.

Key responsibilities:

  • SW product registration and ownership

  • Establish deep understanding of the SW Products’ capability/functionality.

  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to create product vision.

  • Eliminate/minimize redundant capabilities across Intel SW products landscape.

  • Determine SW packaging and installation path.

  • Vet new SW products with key stakeholders (e.g. Security, Legal, Commercial, etc.).

  • Tech debt mgmt. – Manage and monitor forced uninstalls of unsupported and prohibited SW products. Trigger communications and address users opens.

  • Actively engages with vendors and end users to perform License mgmt. and optimization related activities (e.g. monitor installations/SW usage, license utilization monitoring and optimization, etc.).

  • Ongoing support - Address user and vendor inquiries.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor´s degree in Business administration, Industrial Engineering and Management, Information Systems, Economics or related field.

  • 2+ years experience in software product ownership and data analysis

  • 2+ years experience in software license management

  • Advanced English level (verbally + written)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Power BI and SQL experience

  • 3+ years experience in IT management business processes including HW and SW asset management and technical debt management

  • Wide knowledge of 3rd party development utilities and tools (incl. SaaS, Linux software, development frameworks, etc.).

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
