Purpose:

In this role, you'll be a leader in safeguarding our people and environment. As a Senior EHS Engineer, you'll develop and implement critical EHS programs that keep our employees safe and minimize our environmental impact. You'll have a direct impact on building a balanced and responsible future for our company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the workplace adheres to all applicable laws and J&J standards

• Leading all aspects of permitting processes

• Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation plans

• Investigating accidents and incidents to prevent future occurrences

• Developing and maintaining safety programs and procedures for design, construction, commissioning and operational readiness stages.

• Providing EHS training and orientation for employees and contractors

• Encouraging a safe work culture through communication and awareness programs

• Leading the development and implementation of EHS programs across departments

• Overseeing emergency response planning and preparedness

• Monitoring and tracking EHS performance metrics

• Collaborating with other departments to integrate EHS considerations

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in EHS Engineering from and accredited university

Experience and Skills:

Required:

1. 6 years of experience of Environmental, Health and Safety

2. 4 years of manufacturing and/or plant experience

3. Strong written and spoken English is required

4. Strong communication & interpersonal skills

5. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation/sustaining experience

6. Solid understanding in OSHA, ANSI and NFPA standards

Preferred:

• Experience in start-up /green field projects
