Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Standard Cell Library Architect in San Jose, California

At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.

Cadence is looking for an expert with minimum 8 years of experience in standard cell library development and creation.

Role:

  1. Identify additional cells to improve block level PPA.

  2. Review library development strategy and plan with partners.

  3. Run critical path simulations and analysis to explore alternate options.

  4. Plan and execute experiments with Cadence PnR teams to validate recommendations.

  5. Present and justify recommendation with justification and experimental data.

Required skillsets:

  1. Must be hands-on with in-depth exposure on characterization, static timing analysis and SPICE simulations/correlation.

  2. Must have had prior experience in defining library content (new families, drive strengths).

  3. Must have exposure to block level PPA analysis and improvement methodologies.

  4. Shell/scripting and/or python expertise is a plus.

  5. Communication/Presentation skills and problem-solving as part of a high-expertise team is needed.

The annual salary range for San Jose, CA is $ 138,600 to $257,400. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
