We are expanding and looking for a Senior / Principal Member of Technical Staff, Digital Design. This is an exciting opportunity to join the company early enough to shape the development process. Location

We are open to hiring in San Jose, CA; San Diego, CA; or Portland, OR.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the digital design for multiple Battery Management products, full Front End and Back End responsibility.

• Collaborating with silicon designers and systems engineers in San Jose, San Diego, or Portland to define project architectures and specifications.

• Leading design and verification activities of projects as deemed beneficial.

• Develop design automation tools/scripts as appropriate.

• Work with Test Engineering to ensure that the end-product is testable and robust.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of Digital design experience in a Mixed Signal environment.

• Full life-cycle experience demonstrated by multiple products in reliable mass production.

• Experienced in all Front and Back End activities – RTL, Verification, Synthesis, STA, DFT, ATPG, etc.

• Adept with System Verilog, C, and various scripting languages.

• Experience with, implementing, designing with, and testing standard interfaces (I2C/SPI/APB/AHB).

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing embedded microcontrollers.

• Experience writing embedded C for microcontrollers.

• Comfortable implementing and verifying asynchronous logic blocks when needed.

• Demonstrated ability to design for power targets.

• Understanding and awareness of basic analog design.

• Experience with UVM based functional verification of mixed-signal chips

• Full command of Cadence design environment and Synopsis development tools.

• B.S. Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred but not necessary with demonstrated experience.
