Cadence Design Systems, Inc. Purchasing Systems Analyst Intern in San Jose, California

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions to understand their data governance needs and challenges.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance strategies and best practices.

  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.

  • Utilize Tableau for data processing, analytics, and governance activities.

  • Understanding of SQL or similar query language to get the most out of data visualization is a plus.

  • Conduct assessments of data quality and compliance with governance policies.

  • Provide recommendations for improvements in data management and governance processes.

  • Document data architecture designs, standards, and best practices, and provide guidance and support to ensure adherence across stakeholders.

  • Train and mentor team members on data governance principles and tools.

  • Provide stakeholder support, ensuring clear communication and understanding of technical solutions.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.

    Job Qualifications:

An interest in Procurement and Supplier Chain activities working within a team with the focus on building knowledge and experience in a global technology company.

Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a BS/MS in Procurement/Business Administration or equivalent

  • General understanding of procurement systems, data analysis

  • Good verbal experience within a team environment

  • Capable of analytical thinking

  • Basic knowledge of policies, procedures, and technology

  • Understanding of ERP systems. i.e., SAP, Ariba, Oracle, Workday etc.

  • Good working knowledge of MS office suite including Teams, OneDrive, and Webex programs

  • Can commit to at least a 12-week internship

  • Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California for the duration of the internship
