Permit Facilitator - Agency Liaison

What You’ll Do:

• Act as a primary point of contact for escalated agency matters and develops subject matter expertise in all aspects of local agency encroachment permits

• Builds strong operational relationships with local public works department leaders; serves as a collaborative team member with the Permit Facilitation Team and to various internal work groups and project teams.

• Negotiate establishing annual permits with local agencies in support of streamlining line of businesses work priorities and reducing permit backlog with municipalities.

• Manage and resolve permit non-compliance issues/escalations, restoration delays; identify appropriate internal stakeholders to support problem-solving and resolution.

• Travel as needed for agency meetings and Division Level Monthly Operating Review meetings.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• 5 years of job-related experience in areas such as relationship management, customer success management, analysis, construction, or closely related field or equivalent experience

• Clean driving record and able to travel 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid collaboration and interpersonal skills to effectively negotiate and build relationships among varying stakeholders.

• Good analytical decision making and problem-solving skills; able to convert ambiguity into structure and coherent strategies.

• Strong project management skills - flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities/deliverables.

• Good technical understanding of local agencies' encroachment and building permitting process and conditions.

• Intermediate experience with spreadsheet analysis, order management, and CRM platforms.

Benefits & Salary:

• This position pays between $70,000 and $105,000 annually and is an exempt position.

• Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.

• Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.

• May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
