Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Seeking an experienced package mechanical FEA engineer for very-large and complex packages for industry-leading ASICs. You will be part of a worldwide R&D team developing high-performance package designs for ASICs for artificial intelligence (AI), networking, high-performance computing (HPC), and 5G base stations. 90% of the role is focused on analysis and 10% on design.

Responsibilities

• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) for complex ASIC packages.

• Use ANSYS to model and correlate real-world problems.

• Analyze stress and material properties.

• Conduct IC packaging, including flip chip, BGA, and MCM.

• Devise lab-scale tests to validate analyses.

Essential Skills

• Strong FEA analysis experience.

• Proficiency in using ANSYS for modeling and problem correlation.

• Experience with IC packaging, including flip chip, BGA, and MCM.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Flotherm.

• Experience in artificial intelligence, networking, high-performance computing, and 5G base stations.

Work Environment

100% onsite Monday to Friday. The team is based in multiple locations, including Ft. the person, Austin, and San Jose. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the industry's best professionals on cutting-edge technology.
