Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in San Jose, California, for the role of a Full Charge Bookkeeper in a small accounting team. The individual will be primarily responsible for managing all the accounting tasks, and will also be handling payroll. The position involves on-site work with a potential transition to a hybrid model.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping for the organization

• Process payroll for less than 100 employees and ensure compliance with regulations

• Maintain and manage accounts payable and receivable

• Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely financial reporting

• Utilize QuickBooks for all accounting activities

• Leverage Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Handle hourly billings and commission pay for employees

• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported

• Develop monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets

• Prepare and analyze financial reports as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) management

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software

• Ability to process payroll

• Experience in managing payroll for fewer than 100 employees

• Must have experience in Full Charge Bookkeeping

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Knowledge of standard bookkeeping practices and procedures.
