Employment Attorney – San Jose (Employment Experience REQUIRED)

Are you passionate about protecting workers’ rights and have a track record of success in the courtroom? We are seeking a talented and dedicated employment attorney to join our growing team in San Jose. This role is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities:

Represent employees in a wide range of employment law matters, including:

  • Wrongful termination

  • Discrimination and harassment

  • Wage and hour violations

  • Retaliation

  • Breach of contract

  • Family and medical leave issues

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop strong arguments for your clients.

  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

  • Depose witnesses and prepare clients for trial.

  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.

  • Manage your caseload efficiently and meet deadlines.

  • Stay up-to-date on changes in employment law.

  • Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and staff members.

How you will make an impact

  • Supporting attorneys and staff within the practice groups department.

  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel.

  • Legal research and drafting of a wide range of legal documents.

  • Analyze and summarize legal documents.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

  • California Bar license.

  • At least 2 years of experience practicing employment law.

  • Strong civil litigation experience is highly preferred.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated passion for protecting workers' rights.
