Our opportunity:

As the Director, Evangelism & Content Strategy, you will be the driving force behind nurturing and expanding the Automation Anywhere developer ecosystem. This role entails updating and refining our esteemed Pathfinder Program, curating and overseeing Bot Games/other developer events, and fostering meaningful relationships with our vibrant developer community. This is a leadership position that requires a blend of technical acumen, creative thinking, team leadership, and community engagement skills to elevate our developer-facing content and initiatives.

Who you’ll report to: VP, Community and Learning

Location: Remote role, located within the United States

You will make an impact by being responsible for:

• Updating and enhancing existing Pathfinder Program content and assets to maintain relevance and effectiveness for our customers

• Conceptualizing and creating compelling Bot Games challenges that stimulate innovation and engagement within our developer community

• Hosting and running Bot Games Live Events, providing an exciting and educational atmosphere for participants

• Developing and maturing relationships with developers by establishing a strong presence in developer networks and events

• Delivering impactful thought leadership and advanced technical presentations at our annual Imagine conference, webinars, and other developer-centric events

• Generating high-quality, educational content for Automation Anywhere University, ensuring learners can swiftly adapt to and utilize new technologies

• Leading and mentoring a team of talented content creators in the development of new content, courses, and developer experiences

• Collaborating closely with AAU’s Director of Content and Delivery to design and deliver engaging and effective learning experiences for the Automation Anywhere University community

• Strategically driving the expansion of our developer network by identifying and fostering opportunities for growth and collaboration

• Developing relationships with stakeholders in our Product Management team to provide product feedback informed by community/user input

You will be a great fit if you have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

• Proven experience in developer relations, advocacy, or evangelism, preferably within the automation or related software industry

• Track record of successful delivery of automation solutions, program leadership, and program expansion

• Strong understanding of RPA, AI, and emerging technologies, with the ability to translate technical features into user benefits

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences

• Experience in content creation (video, audio, and written), educational curriculum design, and event planning and management

• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in leading and inspiring diverse creative teams

• A passion for community building and a track record of successful engagement initiatives

• Ability to travel for events, conferences, and community meetups as needed (less than 20% travel expected)

• Building and nurturing relationships with the developer community requires a genuine passion for community building. This involves actively participating in developer networks and events, engaging with developers on various platforms, and fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie within the community

• Strategic thinking is essential for identifying new opportunities, setting priorities, and aligning initiatives with the overall goals and objectives of the organization

• Being able to anticipate and address challenges and obstacles is important in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills are essential for effectively coordinating efforts, aligning priorities, and ensuring cross-functional support for developer-facing initiatives

The base salary range for this position in California, New York, and Washington is $175,000 – $190,000 and outside of those locations is $165,000 – 180,000 a year. The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.
