KRON4 News in San Francisco is searching for a news writer and producer . In this role you will write and edit video for our newscasts and line produce when needed. This position will work out of our San Francisco studio on The Embarcadero.

KRON4 News does more news than any other station in the Bay Area. We produce 13 hours of news on the weekdays, and 13 hours over the weekend.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Write news stories and teases.

• Edit video for stories and teases using Adobe Premiere

• Line Produce as needed.

• Create/order news cast graphics.

• Time news cast in the control room and adjust as needed for breaking news

• Communicate with reporters, assignment desk, anchors and managers

• Management reserves the discretion to add or modify job duties as required

• Shift may include nights and weekends

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience as a news writer or producer

• Experience with newsroom systems and desktop editing software

• Demonstrated ability to work with writers, reporters and assignment desk editors

• College degree or equivalent in journalism/communications or broadcasting preferred

$25.00/hr.+ commensurate with experience
