Your Role and Responsibilities

The IBM Technology Expert Labs organization is looking for an IBM Storage Solution Architect with expertise in IBM storage technology and products such as FlashSystem, ESS / Scale, DS8000, TS7700, Protect, and Red Hat OpenShift and Ceph. The Storage Solution Architect will collaborate with the client, business partner, and sellers to understand client requirements, and conduct discovery activities to define and create services solutions to address client needs. You will utilize your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technology in conjunction with industry and business skills to influence clients. You are responsible for building a scope with activities and corresponding assumptions and estimating the level of effort. You will create the client-facing proposal content, the detailed work and breakdown structure. You will work in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects with multiple sellers and clients.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Minimum of 5+ years of experience with IBM storage such as:

• FlashSystem

• ESS / Scale

• DS8000

• TS7700

• Protect

• Defender

• Red Hat OpenShift and Ceph

• Very strong individual planning and project management skills.

• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Self-starter, ability to learn independently.

• Demonstrated communication skills in a customer facing environment at all levels of technical, management and executives.

• Understand technical requirements to craft work scopes, work breakdown structures, labor estimates, and manage risk.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience working with IBM Partners, IBM Sales and Client Teams.

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
