AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. Key job responsibilities

Roles/Responsibilities

• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.

• Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.

• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.

• Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.

• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

About the team

Within the GenAI/ML Specialist organization, this position is part of the Worldwide Specialist Team, where you will lead the global GTM plan for Amazon Q Business. You are a leader for specialists, architects, partners, and account teams around the world and set direction and standards for how we solve customer problems in your domain. You partner with technical and business teams across AWS and bring the voice of the customer into our product development roadmap. Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

• 7+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications

• 2+ Years of experience in Generative AI, Knowledge Bases, RAG Architecture

• Hands-on experience in building Intelligent virtual Assitance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with end user or developer communities

• Experience influencing and building mind share convincingly with any audience. Confident and experienced in public speaking to large audiences.

• Experience with fundamentals of Security, Networking along with Authentication, Authorization and Access control.

• Professional experience architecture/operating solutions built on AWS

• Experience with ingesting and processing structured and unstructured data at scale.

• Experience deploying production-grade solutions on public cloud platforms

• Experience with Amazon Q Business.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
