Charles Schwab Sr Specialist - Software Development & Engineering in San Francisco, California

Duties : Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Work on backend development in highly scalable systems using technologies like Java, SQL, and Apache Kafka in the Spring Boot Framework. Build REST APIs to connect with internal applications. Work with Apache Kafka to produce and consume data and building applications that process data. Work with version control software for source code management. Build and maintain pipelines for CI/CD using Bitbucket and Bamboo. Building SQL databases and integrating them into Java Applications. Generate and match benchmarks for performance and load testing of complex systems. Generating reports based on application data in SQL.

Job Location: San Francisco, CA

Salary: $155,605 to $175,400 per year

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

What you have

Job Requirements : Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 24 months of experience in a related occupation. Experience must include the following: Java; Deploy applications in the cloud using PCF, AWS, or GCP; Design and develop SQL databases and integrate them into Java applications; Deploy microservices using Bitbucket, Bamboo, Sonar, and Veracode; Develop with Apache Kafka, using Kafka Streams and the producer/consumer APIs functionalities; Design service architecture and build microservices with robust REST APIs; and Build and version internal code libraries.
