Description We are on the hunt for a Revenue Accountant to become part of our team in the healthcare industry located in San Francisco, California. The individual will be engaged in the execution of fee-for-service accounting, utilization of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles, and management of contractual allowances.

Key responsibilities:

• Execute fee-for-service accounting with accuracy

• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles in daily tasks

• Manage contractual allowances with precision

• Perform regular reconciliations of revenue accounts

• Review and interpret contracts to ensure accurate revenue recording

• Comply with financial regulations and standards

• Conduct complex data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting using advanced Excel skills

• Streamline accounting processes using Sage Intacct

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation and perform variance analysis to explain revenue differences

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support internal and external audits

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting functions. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of Revenue Accountant, preferably in the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry.

• Proficiency in various Accounting Software Systems.

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is essential.

• Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of accounting functions.

• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must.

• Must have prior experience in Auditing and Billing Functions.

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct software is a requirement.

• Knowledge of HealthCare Revenue Cycle, Hospital Revenue Cycle, and Revenue Cycle Processes is required.

• Familiarity with ASC 606, Revenue Recognition Accounting, and Revenue Recognition Guidance is essential.

• The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable.

• Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
