Description

We are in search of a Sr. Revenue Accountant to become an integral part of our healthcare team located in San Francisco, California. The primary role will involve managing the accuracy and integrity of our revenue recognition. This position presents an opportunity to work on a long term contract basis and contribute significantly to our dynamic Finance team.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately reconcile deferred revenue accounts with a focus on historical data

• Identify and rectify any discrepancies related to revenue recognition

• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 standards

• Assist in the processes of month-end and quarter-end close

• Support ad-hoc revenue analysis projects as required

• Gradually take on additional responsibilities within the Revenue team

• Utilize skills such as Balance Sheet Reconciliation, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Analyze Revenues, Deferred Revenue, and Workday

• Maintain and uphold the integrity of the revenue recognition process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance sectors.

• 3-5 years of revenue experience

• Proficiency in managing balance sheet reconciliation tasks.

• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with general ledger operations.

• Experience in preparing and posting journal entries is required.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

• Ability to analyze revenues and interpret financial data accurately.

• Experience with deferred revenue and related accounting tasks.

• Knowledge and experience in using Workday financial management software.
