Responsibilities : Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Develop mid-tier components to transfer granular data to/from cloud repository to desktop and web clients. Develop browser-based SaaS applications that leverage customer data stored in a cloud repository. Work in a fast-paced agile environment, featuring quick iterations, lots of teamwork, constant improvement, and with a particular focus on producing exciting and innovative results. Implement key product workflows meeting security, privacy and performance requirements. Solve challenging problems. Work collaboratively in Agile environment to achieve team goals. Enthusiasm to learn and share knowledge. Passion for developing robust software and writing maintainable code. Occasional travel, some off-hour virtual meetings. Understand the Civil 3D and SDK code to implement Superelevation using advance C++ algorithms with unit tests. Research SDK and Civil 3D code for performance testing. Understanding TIN and Grid Volume surface to share/consume objects on cloud maintaining the relationship with parent objects.

Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements :

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation.

Special Requirements :

Position requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • Experience in developing standalone applications using advance concepts of C++/C# and ASP.net, Python, JAVA, JavaScript.

  • Knowledge of advance data structures, object-oriented programming, and algorithms to implement schemas and data models.

  • Maintaining cloud database (Azure/AWS) and implementing SQL data models to make live dashboards in Power BI for landscaping projects and KPI analysis.

  • Experience with advance software engineering, software security, quality control, test driven development, unit testing and maintenance with source code management using GIT.

  • Experience with working in an agile environment as well as direct customer interaction for implementing and delivering an end-to-end product.

Position also requires at least one semester of graduate coursework or some experience in each of the following skills:

  • Experience in developing web apps using server-side frameworks and scripting languages like Flask, Django, JavaScript, Typescript, Node.js, Angular.js and React.js

  • Knowledge of Digital representation of terrain/ surfaces (TIN, Meshes) in AutoCad and ArcGIS.

  • Understanding of civil engineering operations like super elevation, surfaces and implemented landscaping projects in ArcGIS and Esri’s web-based mapping software.

  • Understanding of advance 3D geometry applied to landscaping properties to determine different parameters like size of the property.

  • Utilized the knowledge of Machine learning and deep learning to implement a weather forecasting application using Python and machine learning libraries.

  • Utilized the knowledge of advance math and statistical analysis for data science and AI projects.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $162,043 - $180,000/year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
