Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager of Developer Relations to join our Developer Experience team in Seattle (or San Francisco). As we navigate the exciting era of generative AI, where the landscape of software development is rapidly evolving, we need a visionary leader who can inspire and grow our team of developer advocates, forge deep connections with developers, and ignite enthusiasm for AWS across the community.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will lead our efforts to engage with developers, understand their needs, and bring valuable insights back to our service teams. You will collaborate closely with service teams, marketing, and business intelligence to shape the critical role that developer relations plays in driving innovation and adoption of AWS services. Your expertise in software development, architecture, and team dynamics will be invaluable as you define our content and event strategy, ensuring that we deliver impactful and relevant experiences to the developer community.

As a trusted partner to our service teams, you will play a vital role in facilitating product feedback and insights, helping to shape the future of AWS services. Your ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate the voice of the developer will be key to driving continuous improvement and delivering an exceptional developer experience.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in developer relations

• Strong software development and engineering background

• Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI/ML technologies and their impact on software development

• Demonstrated excellence in public speaking and presenting to technical audiences

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to change

• Passion for engaging with the developer community and advocating for their needs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
