The opportunity
As a PAS Compensation Manager, you will assist clients with the design, implementation, communication, and monitoring of their compensation plans, programs delivery and systems. Compensation elements include base salary, annual incentives, long-term incentives, executive-level retirement, deferred compensation, and fringe benefit plans. Compensation administration and delivery includes job family architecture, salary or job bands, salary structure, job evaluation, and career frameworks/skills, and well as supporting compensation as part of an HR systems implementation

Your key responsibilities
You will work on multiple reward projects delivering quality client service and providing flexible and innovative reward solutions. You will be expected to have excellent communication skills, integrate and lead new teams, and rapidly establish relationships. You’ll be generating profitable revenue by identifying follow-on engagement opportunities and developing lasting relationships with clients.
Skills and attributes for success
Provide competitive market data, design, administration and delivery, and quantitative/qualitative analyses
Participate in multiple broad based, sales and/or executive compensation engagements for a diverse client base, both in the normal business operations or in the transformational or transaction setting
Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses to client needs and concerns
Participate in client meetings and work within a team environment to deliver fully integrated compensation and benefit services to clients
Influence and persuade clients and stakeholders to gain support for any major change initiatives and/or decisions
Willingness to train, develop, and coach team resources so that they may grow professionally.
To qualify for the role you must have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field with 5+ years of related experience
Excellent analytical, research and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong business acumen
Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing requirements
Project management experience, planning, budget management, and reporting
Ideally, you’ll also have
MBA, Masters of Tax, or JD or other similar compensation related credentials, with strong academic credentials
Prior compensation consulting experience
Strong Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, and/or Word skills

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $124,700 to $228,800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $149,700 to $260,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
