eero is looking for a highly focused QA Engineer to work on critical mobile application testing projects that keep our platform running smoothly. You will help the QA team validate software releases and ensure a great customer experience.

You'll work closely across multi-functional development teams to help discover, recreate, and debug issues. You will have the opportunity to contribute and grow our mobile automation framework for both iOS and Android.

Key job responsibilities

• Participate in the software development life cycle from beginning to end.

• Create and execute test plans for existing products and features.

• Work with development teams to define testing protocol for new features as they are designed and developed.

• Provide additional cross functional test support for other team members

• Develop test scenarios from requirements and ensure maximum requirement traceability.

• Providing detailed bug reports to the Engineering Team using JIRA.

A day in the life

• Writing test plans and cases based on PRDs and specs

• Participate in team and cross functional project meetings

• Work closely with developers, product and program managers to test and validate new features, file issues

• Execute regression

• Sign off for releasing to our customers

• Work on automation

• Help with hiring

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience

• Experience in automation testing

• Experience in manual testing

• Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects

• Combination of solid in-depth knowledge of quality assurance, solid understanding of web/mobile technologies, as well as knowledge of automation tools.

• Experience working on mobile or web automation (using Selenium, Appium, Robotium, UIAutomator etc) experience.

• Experience testing cloud APIs

• Passion for all things mobile - especially applications on phones and tablets

• Experience working on different applications and operating systems: iOS and various flavors of Android

• Experience manually building apps onto the simulator or devices with Xcode and Android Studio

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium

• Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality

• Experience with consumer networking hardware such as routers, switches, wireless access points

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
