Robert Half Legal Secretary in San Francisco, California

Description

We are in search of a meticulous Legal Secretary to join our client based in San Francisco, California. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team by managing client inquiries, maintaining accurate client records, and processing legal documents. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of our legal operations.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, prepare, and review legal documents, letters, and trust and estate related documents.

• Conduct research and analysis to support legal proceedings, and prepare charts, graphs, and other visuals.

• Manage attorneys' calendars, schedule conferences and meetings, and make necessary travel arrangements.

• Act as a point of communication, effectively obtaining and providing information to internal and external clients.

• Support the billing process between accounting and assigned partners, including the preparation and transmittal of invoices.

• Assist in the New Client Intake process, handling conflict checks, matter details, and engagement letter preparation.

• Maintain confidentiality of client and firm matters and manage electronic document management and filing systems.

• Participate in educational and training opportunities to update job knowledge.

• Provide Notary Public and witness services to clients when necessary.

• Utilize legal software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, iManage, and CompuLaw for various tasks.

• Maintain and update attorneys' priority task lists and coordinate special functions as required.

Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Secretary

• Proficient in using Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)

• Familiarity with Case Management Software and CompuLaw is essential

• Ability to handle billing functions and calendar management

• Strong briefing skills and client relations experience

• Knowledge of consumer electronics, estate law, and estate planning

• Experience with iManage and CAD - Computer Aided Drafting or Design

• Proficient in drafting legal documents.
