Ginger Labs Information Technology Director in San Francisco, California
Notability is an industry-leading note taking application with expressive drawing capabilities that make full use of the power of the Apple Pencil and iPad Pro. Notability has been adopted as a critical component of workflows in education and business around the world with a diverse set of users and use cases.
Ginger Labs prioritizes the data security and privacy of our users and employees. In addition to being in charge of day-to-day IT operations, the Information Technology Director will be responsible for the hands-on development and maintenance of our cybersecurity and compliance postures as we expand our services and offerings.
This role is required to be on-site Tuesdays and Thursdays in our San Francisco office.
What You'll Do:
Cybersecurity: Be fully responsible for our security posture including secure software development practices, secure authentication for all systems, mobile device management, and hardened networks and APIs
Compliance: Establish and maintain compliance with industry standards such as SOC2
Strategic Planning: Work with leadership stakeholders to create and execute roadmaps to support our developing projects and business needs
Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work with business and engineering teams to identify and resolve security and compliance issues
Operations: Managing our basic infrastructure needs as a cloud-native organization, such as our ISP and wifi
What You Need:
10+ years of IT experience with at least 7 years managing or leading IT, security, or compliance teams
Outstanding communication skills
Successful completion of compliance audits, like SOC2, as well as continued compliance over time
Familiarity with SaaS business practices and relevant security, privacy, and compliance concerns
Deep understanding of industry standards, and the fundamental principles of cybersecurity
Experience administering mobile device management (MDM) systems
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or relevant field experience
Bonus Qualifications:
Experience with Google Cloud Platform
Familiarity with the Apple ecosystem

For this position we are targeting a base pay between $188,000.00-$215,000.00. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
