Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage criminal incidents, perform thorough investigations, conduct detailed after-action analysis, implement immediate corrective actions, develop long-term strategic solutions, and provide timely reports to senior leadership.

  • Manage regional security operations, including the readiness and response capabilities of vendor security force personnel to prevent and preempt crimes against corporate assets.

  • Design and implement best-in-class physical security systems, providing ongoing project management support and design guidance on technological and structural security infrastructure projects to mitigate security gaps and vulnerabilities.

  • Plan and direct security operations for critical corporate events, including developing detailed operations plans, managing event security operations, and assisting events teams resolve security incidents and concerns.

  • Manage and oversee a wide range of physical security projects, including but not limited to the conceptual design, programming, and schematic design phases of each project, identifying, and coordinating appropriate resources as needed, and seeing each project to completion.

  • Perform risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments (RTVAs) of operational properties to evaluate security systems; identify gaps, weaknesses, and vulnerabilities; and provide remedial actions or recommendations for structural, technological, or operational upgrades.

  • Support national security leadership in providing strategic oversight and management of regional security operations.

  • Compose security briefings and written reports to leadership personnel as required.

  • Prepare security escalation plans and emergency action plans, ensuring security staff are prepared to execute.

  • Conduct project management meetings with lead vendor contractors to drive security priorities, goals, budgeting considerations, and objectives for construction, redevelopment, and operational properties.

  • Conduct regular working sessions with Alexandria and vendor project managers, contract security design consultants, and technology integrators to continually refine, develop, and document security technology projects, ensuring security standards and deliverables are met within project budgets and timelines.

  • Support regional security leads and asset management teams with ongoing maintenance, development, and upgrades of security technology systems, assisting as necessary with technology failures and outages.

  • Conduct site security assessments and physical security surveys of regional construction and redevelopment sites to provide guidance on the manner, means, and effectiveness of construction site security systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • At least 7 years of proven and documented success in local, state, or federal armed service, with direct and practical private-sector experience in corporate site security.

  • Project management certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or PSP (Physical Security Professional) highly desirable.

  • Proven experience in physical security project management and demonstrated successful execution of vendor contracts, security technology projects, and project documentation.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end security technology projects and demonstrated expertise in planning, design, execution, and evaluation.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships effectively.

  • Experience in developing and managing project budgets and schedules and completing projects in accordance with company-approved budgets, schedules, and operational frameworks.

  • The expected base salary range for this position is $160,000-185,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the consideration of many factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the individual’s knowledge, experience, education, qualifications, skills, job location, and the Company’s compensation practices.
