About the Role

Our client, a leading real estate development and management company, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their dynamic team. In this key role, you will oversee financial audits, tax returns, and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties. You will lead financial planning, budget management, and collaborate with senior management to support strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

• Lead financial audits and tax returns for real estate properties

• Monitor monthly operating results against budgets

• Manage financial forecasting and planning processes

• Provide financial analysis to support business decisions

• Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals

• Ensure regulatory compliance and develop internal controls

• Support the financial aspects of business initiatives and long-term planning

Benefits:

• Competitive salary range: $125,000 - $220,000 per year (DOE)

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

• 6-8 years of experience in a Controller or financial leadership role

• 5 years of experience in real estate management (HUD and Tax Credit accounting preferred)

• At least 1 year of experience supervising staff

• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting and CPA preferred
