Robert Half is offering a contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer in San Franscico, Ca. As a key member of our team, The Desktop Support Engineer will primarily focus on providing timely responses to end-users and resolving tech issues. This Desktop Support role involves working within the Investment and financial industry and requires proficiency in Microsoft products, experience in supporting Windows 10 environments, and a working knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory. This Desktop Support role is a hybrid Onsite and remote position. This Desktop Support role is a long-term contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to end users and address their issues effectively

• Provide excellent customer service while managing problems until they are resolved

• Support Windows 10 environments and ensure they function optimally

• Utilize Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer effectively to perform tasks

• Manage and troubleshoot user accounts on Office 365

• Use your working knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, and its associated tools to maintain the tech environment

• Support remote access systems including MFA, Citrix, and VPN connections

• Maintain a commitment to quality service and effective problem management

• Use your knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AV systems such as Creston, Cisco, and Endpoint Manager (Intune), SCCM, and Auto Pilot to enhance service delivery

• Leverage your knowledge and experience of ITIL in your daily tasks

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of three years of experience in a Help Desk Support Specialist role or similar

• Proficiency in Android Development is essential

• Extensive knowledge and experience with Cisco Technologies

• Must be proficient in Microsoft technologies and software

• Must be comfortable with handling and troubleshooting Apple Devices

• A solid understanding of Computer Hardware is crucial

• Should be experienced with Configuration Management

• Experience with Deployments is necessary

• Proficiency in MS Office 365 is required

• Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Should be able to work effectively in a team and independently

• Must be willing to continually update knowledge and skills

• Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices is a plus.
