Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Remote Controller , " Local Southern California Candidates Only" .

The role involves leading our General Accounting team and playing a critical role in the growth of our company by overseeing the accounting, tax, audit, and treasury functions. The Controller will collaborate with all aspects of the business to build and improve business and accounting processes, systems, and controls.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of general accounting functions including AP, General Accounting, tax, treasury, financial reporting, and payroll. • Manage all monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities; prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and report on financial variances and trends within timelines provided by Management. • Identify opportunities to improve internal accounting processes; propose and implement solutions. • Lead the team through financial statement audits; manage relationships with auditors. • Build, lead, support, and develop a high-performing accounting team. • Manage external stakeholders to address audit, banking, compliance, reporting, insurance and tax requirements. • Work cross-functionally with other leaders to challenge and optimize our accounting & finance systems as part of scaling initiatives. • Partner with Finance to create financial projections and budgets; analysis of results against budget. • Develop a comprehensive set of control processes to mitigate financial risk and ensure accuracy of company records. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 7 years detail oriented experience in a Controller role or similar capacity

• Proficiency in 3M and other accounting software systems is required

• Prior experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary

• CRM knowledge and experience is a must

• Demonstrated ability to use Crystal Reports effectively

• Must have a deep understanding of accounting functions including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing experience is a key requirement for this role

• Must have prior experience with budget processes and financial forecasting

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills are necessary

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is required; a Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus

• Must have a proven track record of managing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition

• Experience coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances

• Prior experience preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
