Title: Controller

Location: San Francisco

Hybrid – 2 days onsite (Mon and Fri)

Salary: 200k-250k Base + Bonus + Profit Sharing

About the Company: A leading investment firm based in San Francisco, with specialization in environmental assets. Operating on a global scale, the company has flexibilities that span equity investing (public and private), striking offtake/project finance deals, and engaging in physical environmental commodity trading, with a focus on unique resources like carbon cap and trade permits and renewable energy certificates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly reporting and NAV Reconciliation; review accounting from outsourced providers.

• Oversee financial operations including accounting, performance reporting, for investment funds, and the management company.

• Collaborate with investment, trading, and compliance functions to develop and implement portfolio monitoring, financial optimization strategies, policies, and procedures.

• Manage end-of-year tax accounting processes.

• For more experienced candidates, work with a compliance consultant for SEC filings, ensure team adherence to the code of ethics, and oversee quarterly attestations and compliance requirements.

• Qualifications:

• Understanding of partnership taxation and book-tax disparity.

• Financial Reporting: Experience in financial reporting, tax accounting, budgeting, and/or forecasting.
