About the role

We at the CBRE Commissioning team are seeking a person to support clients in the Northern California area! The candidate will need to be in the greater Northern California area. However occasional regional travel may be needed for project testing. When not testing in field this is a work-from-home position if desired.

The purpose of this position is to lead individual, multi-disciplined commissioning project solutions for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery.

Supports project team by delivering building commissioning services that require application of standard techniques for a small project or selected segments of a larger one.

What you’ll do

  • Reviews, develops, and collates construction project related reports and deliverable documentation for review and approval.

  • Reviews construction related design documents, drawings and specifications for approval.

  • Plans, chairs and documents all project commissioning meetings.

  • Verifies design documents, equipment submittals and measured performance are consistent with the specifications and client's operation requirements.

  • Performs onsite observations relating to installation of building systems; prepares associated documentation for approval.

  • On smaller projects, directs onsite system testing and monitoring of complex and integrated systems.

Bachelor's Degree in relevant business science, or equivalent plus appropriate continuing education or 5 years commissioning experience; or 7+ years specific construction trade experience.

CERTIFICATIONS and/or LICENSES

LEED AP, BCA ACP, OSHA 10 hour Construction Safety

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Additional Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information using technical writing skills, including detailed document formatting.

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to independently track many ongoing tasks and organize large amounts of project files and correspondence.

  • Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to manage project budgets, job costs, forecasting, project billing, and invoicing.

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex construction documents and operation of building controls systems; address complex project team dynamics; and troubleshooting building system operation.

  • Microsoft Word, including detailed formatting. Microsoft excel, including processing and analyzing large amounts of BAS trend data. Network file management. Ability to edit PDF documents. Ability to create formatted layouts preferred. Prior use of commissioning online software preferred.

CBRE Carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this Commissioning Analyst position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $114,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental Insurance, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, and Vision Insurance.
