Top Global Tech Company seeking Audio QA Analyst

Role:

The Sound Design Organization is a centralized team that touches nearly every product our

company produces, making our team integral to the company. We collaborate with

product and creative teams across the company to design audio for video,

post-production audio, final mixing and mastering, audio field recording, sound

effects, and large scale content projects across a wide range of software and

hardware, including but not limited to your phone, glasses, VR headsets a mix

of AR/MR across these devices. We're a team of over 60 audio experts who design

the experiences that connect people through the power of sound.

Creative Audio is looking for an experienced Audio QA Analyst to support the development of

the Creative Audio QA program. Candidates need to be passionate about high quality product

sound and ensuring a good user experience. Ideally, candidates should have experience

validating sound performance in new hardware and software initiatives. A background in Audio

QA, and enthusiasm for innovative audio design is a must.

Responsibilities

● Support projects for the development of the Creative Audio QA program

● Help establish and maintain Audio QA pipelines for VR, smart glasses, and mobile

products

● Track Audio QA timelines and milestones across multiple products and platforms

● Develop and maintain audio quality test plans, regression testing schedules, and run test

plans

● Investigate, triage, escalate and follow-up on reported issues

● Create training materials for vendors, and support the management of vendor teams

● Contribute creatively and technically to defining audio design experiences

● Execute in a fast-paced and highly fluid environment

Minimum Qualifications

● 5+ years of experience in product QA with software and hardware, emphasis on audio

● Strong critical listening skills, experience with verifying audio quality on software and

hardware with a proven ear for maintaining high quality

● Experience creating and maintaining functional test plans for new software and

hardware products

● Ability to stay organized while working on multiple projects with changing priorities

● Understanding of audio signal flow, DSP, and digital audio concepts and formats

● Strong communication skills, written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

● Scripting or programming experience (Python, C++, JavaScript)

● Experience with game audio testing or audio implementation
