Job Description

A client in the Point Loma area is looking for a TS/SCI Test Engineer to support their team fully on site. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operational functionality of software releases by focusing on all aspects of quality assurance, technical design analysis, developing, and creating test plans, and automated test cases as well conducting test events for product features.

This candidate will work with NIWC stakeholders, development and support teams to ensure comprehensive (both automated and manual) testing is conducted in an Agile fashion. A key skill this person will need to have is the ability to decompose system level requirements into comprehensive test cases and test routines by developing test plans and test cases based on established system requirements and use cases. This position supports a 9/80 work schedule.

Skills and Requirements

Active TS/SCI Clearance

7+ years of experienced in system/software development and testing as a test engineer.

Project development and leadership skill are essential in planning and overseeing project tests.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology and 7 years of related experience.

Understands software development and testing methodologies.

Detailed understanding of how to properly document test cases and create effective and focused test plans and procedures.

Must be familiar with modem cybersecurity.

Familiarity with cloud computing architectures and associated tools (e.g. A WS, MS/ Azure, Oracle, etc)

Must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills and should be able to convey technical aspects to personnel who may not be well-versed in those areas. null
